Financial Aid and Scholarships

Several scholarships are awarded to international students every year

              

Luiss University aims to inspire meaningful change in society by educating a new generation of successful students and graduates. To do so, the University invests in inclusion, social mobility, collective leadership and responsibility to go beyond conventions, roles and objectives to transform the borders on the horizon.

Our mission is to create a future fueled by an intersection of knowledges, cultures, responsibilities, inclusion and passion. As welcoming students from around the world is one of our most important values, Luiss University offers several scholarships for students from outside Italy who have completed their studies abroad, giving priority to:

  • Students from the Mediterranean Euro Area, particularly the Balkans
  • Students from East Asia such as China and Vietnam
  • Students from the Middle East and North Africa
  • Students of Italian Ancestry
  • Social, cultural and gender diversity
  • Interests in sustainable development, the circular economy and digitalization

In 2021-2022 academic year, over 100 scholarships will be granted between full and partial offers. Scholarships will be awarded by the International Admissions Committee on the basis of students’ applications. For truly excellent candidates, the committee may offer – in addition to a full-tuition scholarship – free room and/or board in Luiss residences and cafeterias.


Scholarships for students admitted with IB, SAT, ACT, GMAT and GRE scores

IB Honors Scholarship

Students with excellent applications who have received an IB Diploma in the 2020-2021 academic year, may be offered a total or partial tuition scholarship. There is no need to apply for the scholarship, all applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship. Students will be informed of the admission and scholarship outcome by June 30, 2021.

SAT/ACT Scholarship

Students admitted with these certifications may apply for one of four partial scholarships offered by the University. Candidates must apply between May 10 and July 4, 2021. Results will be published at the end of July.

GMAT/GRE Scholarship

Students with a GMAT score greater than 710 or an equivalent GRE may apply for one of eight total tuition exemptions. Any remaining funds will be awarded to students with a GMAT lower than 710. Candidates must apply between May 10 and July 5, 2021. Results will be published at the end of July.

Additional scholarship opportunities

Progetto Mediterraneo - 2021-2022 Academic year

Since 2017 Luiss University and Fondazione Terzo Pilastro - Internazionale launched Progetto Mediterrano, a program of scholarships for refugees and disadvantaged students from the Mediterranean region.
Progetto Mediterraneo aims to educate refugees and students in need from various Mediterranean countries, by giving them access to Bachelor's and Master's Degree courses provided entirely in English by Luiss University. Upon completion of the courses, students shall possess the knowledge needed to continue their studies and the specific skills to pursue managerial position that could contribute to the economic and social development of the region and of their communities.
Progetto Mediterraneo is co-sponsored by Luiss University and Fondazione Terzo Pilastro - Internazionale. Together they established "Fondazione Mediterraneo - Diritto allo studio Luiss Guido Carli", which is dedicated to the development of the project.
The current edition of Progetto Mediterrano is managed in colloboration with UNHCR.
Fondazione Mediterraneo is offering scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year for Bachelor's Degree Programs fully taught in English in Luiss University open to 20 refugees students of all nationalities - UNHCR registred

  • 10 in Jordan
  • 10 in Morocco

To finalize the application candidates must fill out the application form online by June 3rd, 2021.
The results will be communicated by email to the selected student, by July 1st, 2021.


Luiss Alumni Scholarships for Refugees UNICORE 3.0

The scholarship was launched in 2019-2020 thanks to donations from Luiss Alumni. In collaboration with the UNHCR, the Luiss Alumni Association awarded the first scholarship to an Eritrean refugee in Ethiopia to attend the Master’s Program in Corporate Finance. The initial success, underlining the humanitarian spirit of the University’s leadership to influence future social, political and economic development at the global level, allowed the Association to continue this special project and to fund one full scholarship per year, including room, board, books and a small monthly allowance.

We inform all the applicants that the deadline for the UNICORE 3.0 applications has been postponed to 15th April 2021.

Scholarships for the RoME Masters in Economics

The program is designed for highly motivated and talented students who seek out programs that are competitive on the European level. Thanks to a collaboration with the EIEF Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance, Luiss offers 15 scholarships each year to students who have been admitted to the RoMe Masters in Economics.The scholarships offer full tuition coverage for the two years of study. For particularly brilliant candidates, the committee may award additional funds to cover living costs for a total of €10,000. All students are automatically considered for the scholarships. Students will be informed of the outcome of their application as soon as possible and will be informed if they have been awarded a scholarship by June 30, 2021.

offers four scholarships, covering tuition for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years.  The tuition exemptions are offered to students registered for the First year of the Master of Science in Law, Digital Innovation and Sustainability (LDIS) in 2021-2022 and can be reconfirmed for the second year if recipients meet the requirements.

Part-time positions

Luiss students also have the opportunity to work part-time in the University’s offices. Students may work up to 200 hours in an academic year. The call for applications is published every summer, and is open to all Luiss students with the exception of students in their first year of a bachelor’s program or the single-cycle Law program.

Tuition exemptions for students who meet DiSCo Lazio requirements for regional scholarships

Luiss students can apply for funding from DiSCo Lazio for scholarships, housing, contributions for experiences abroad and degree awards. All students who meet Disco Lazio requirements for scholarships will be granted a tuition exemption from Luiss.
