Scholarships for International Students

The University of Evansville values the variety of experiences and perspectives that international students bring to our campus. As a result, we offer scholarships starting at $25,000 a year to all international students who are admitted to the university. Students with outstanding academic credentials or other talents may be eligible for higher awards. Each applicant is automatically considered for any higher awards as a part of a holistic review of the application. Need-based financial aid is not offered; therefore, a separate financial aid application is not requested.

Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), is a state-owned university located in Surakarta/Solo, Indonesia. We are one of the leading universities in Indonesia and aim to become an internationally-acknowledged centre for the development of science, technology, and art based on noble values of national culture. We have 11 faculties, one vocational school, and one graduate school. We welcome international student candidates who want to pursue a bachelor, master, or doctoral degree.

Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) invites prospective international students to study in UNS through self-funding and UNS Scholarship scheme. UNS Scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for new international students seeking a bachelor, master, and doctor degree. However, UNS Scholarship is not available for study programs in the Faculty of Medicine or Medical Sciences.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR UNS SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must:

  1. Be non-Indonesian citizens (those who hold Indonesian citizenships are not eligible)
  2. Show a strong interest in seeking a full-time degree program at UNS
  3. Be willing and able to attend an interview over a video call
  4. Be at maximum of 25 years old when applying (only for bachelor degree)
  5. Complete all the required documents

COVERAGE OF UNS SCHOLARSHIP

We understand that it’s not always easy to study abroad with certain resource limit. We are working to provide our international students with the best assistance. At the moment, UNS Scholarship covers:

  1. Tuition fee waiver
  2. Student dormitory for 6 months
  3. Indonesian language course (6 levels)

Students are thoroughly responsible for all other fees and expenses such as airfare, visas and immigration fees, accommodation, meal, transportation, daily living cost, health insurance, and other personal expenses. The scholarship is given in the form of fee waiver, meaning that students will not receive cash from UNS.

RESPONSIBILITY OF UNS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEE

All awardees of UNS Scholarship must:

  1. comply with Indonesian laws and regulations, university’s regulations, and other associated regulations
  2. attend all lectures and academic activities held by university, study program, and faculty
  3. achieve minimum GPA 2,00 in every semester
  4. finish their study on time

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF UNS SCHOLARSHIP

UNS Scholarship is granted with the following terms and conditions:

  1. The scholarship is given for 8 semesters for bachelor program, 4 semesters for master program, and 6 semesters for doctoral program. Awardee has to pay the tuition fee if they cannot finish their study after the scholarship has reached the duration.
  2. The scholarship can be terminated if awardee cannot maintain minimum GPA or violates the regulation of university and Indonesian law.
  3. Transfer to other study program or faculty is not allowed.
  4. Awardee who resigns from UNS have to pay back the tuition fee waiver that has been granted.

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR UNS SCHOLARSHIP

The following documents are required:

  1. Recent formal photograph
  2. Colour scan of valid passport having at least 18 months of validity (cover page & identity page)
  3. Certificate of graduation from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language)
  4. Academic transcripts from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language)
  5. Medical statement (in English or Indonesian language)
  6. Curriculum Vitae
  7. Financial statement
  8. Personal statement
  9. Certificate of Indonesian language proficiency (optional but strongly preferred)
  10. Certificate of English language proficiency (obligatory for master and doctoral degree)
  11. Letter of recommendation #1, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (only for master and doctor degree)
  12. Letter of recommendation #2, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (only for master and doctoral degree)
  13. Preliminary research proposal to be developed into a dissertation (only for doctoral degree)

PROCEDURE OF APPLYING FOR UNS SCHOLARSHIP

Student candidates are required to follow the procedure below:

  1. Prospective students learn and look for the study program that fits their interest.
    List of available faculty and study program can be checked at https://uns.ac.id/en/uns-faculty/
  2. Student candidates prepare the required documents.
  3. Student candidates submit an online application by filling out an online form.
  4. Student candidates submit all the required documents at the “Upload Document” section on the online application.
  5. Student candidates print a registration card after submitting the required documents.
  6. Administrative selection will be conducted by the admission committee.
  7. Interview selection will be conducted for student candidates who pass the administrative selection.
  8. Successful candidates will be notified by email, along with the Letter of Acceptance.
  9. Student candidates send confirmation to study at UNS.
  10. Admitted students complete online registration as student at UNS academic website.
  11. Admitted students come to UNS upon receiving notification from UNS International Office.

Global Scholarship Competition is your chance to become an HSE Univerity student in December already! In 2021/2022 academic year, HSE GSC is held in 14 subjects. Participation is free. Competitions are held in-person and online. Results are valid for 2 years.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance Frederick University

 





Frederick University aims to support students that face financial difficulties and find it difficult to continue their studies. We strongly feel that it is best for the individuals, and the society at large, if able students are not forced to terminate their studies due to financial problems. For this reason, the university provides an extensive financial assistance scheme which is based on socioeconomic criteria.

Furthermore, given the recent economic developments in Cyprus, and Europe in general, the need for financial support of students with difficulties is exacerbated. To this end, the University has decided to substantially increase the budget available for financial assistance so that more students can be supported

Students can expect financial reductions for a variety of reasons including:

  • Overall financial income in the family
  • Health problems in the family
  • Single parent families
  • Number of dependents in the family
  • Siblings studying in the university
  • Residence located above 50km from the university
  • Parents/guardian becoming unemployed
  • other reasons contributing to financial pressure to the student

Frederick University prides itself for the support mechanisms it provides to the student community. This is achieved through two broad schemes:

Scholarships aim is to support young people with capabilities to distinguish and to contribute to the development and social progress.

The university offers full and partial scholarships to incoming students based on the academic merit of the high school performance. The University also has in place a scholarship scheme for continuing students which reduces tuition fees based on the GPA achieved by the student. The percentage of reduction is related to the GPA achieved.

Similar schemes are in place for postgraduate students.

Welcome to Özyeğin University!

 





Undergraduate Application Process


Before starting your application form, you will be asked to set up an account, with a user name and password. Make sure to write down your username and password so that you will have it when you log on again. If for any reason you are not able to complete the application in one sitting, you will be able to click “save” and then log off. This will save your information until you are ready to continue.

You will not be able to submit your application until all documents have been uploaded and all required fields have been filled in. We encourage you to apply as soon as your application is complete in order to secure your spot. Complete applications are reviewed on a continuous basis. You will hear back from the University approximately 3 weeks after we receive your complete application.

Application Deadline: 27th of September, 2021

HOW TO APPLY:

You will be asked to upload the following documents, so you need to have scanned versions of each of these ready for upload:

1. Passport (personal information page)

2. Official document signifying successful completion of high school – diploma in many countries (if it is not in English or Turkish, it must be translated)

3. Official high school transcript national or internationally recognized test results or provisional results if not available by the time of submission.

4. English language proficiency test results if available.

5. Statement of Motivation - You will be asked to prepare an essay explaining why you want to attend Özyeğin University and what your goals are. This essay should not be longer than two pages. It can be prepared as a “Word” or “PDF” document, which you will upload. (Strong "Motivation letter" will increase your chance of getting a scholarship or even increase it)

*** The soft copies of the original documents and their translated versions need to be uploaded together.

AFTER YOU APPLY:

Once you click on SUBMIT button, International Office receives your application for evaluation:

  • If you have missing documents, International Office will inform you through e-mail. Your application will not be further evaluated till you provide the missing documents.
  • If the application is completed, the related faculty admission committee will evaluate your application and decide on Acceptance-Rejection-Scholarship percentage.

You will be informed through e-mail about your application; Please check your E-mail regularly
If you are accepted;

  • You will be given a student ID number (ex: S009999) and will be asked to transfer 1000$ USD pre-payment amount to the given USD account. Details will be given in the E–mail, please read the E-mail you receive carefully!
    (The pre-payment is going to be deducted from the Fall semester tuition fees)
  • As soon as we receive your pre-payment, you will be provided hard copy acceptance and Visa letters by post (Please type your accurate home address during application). You can also send us the proof of pre-payment deposit via e-mail to get your hard copy documents.
  • Once you get your acceptance and visa letters, you are required to deal with your student visa application by yourself. Please do not be late to communicate with the consulate for visa application.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the pre-payment is non-refundable unless you receive the Visa rejection from the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your area.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

All applicants will be considered for scholarships as part of the admissions review process. Thus, we do not have a separate application process for scholarship.

Candidates` overall academic profile will be determinant factor for the scholarship grand. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be notified when you are sent the acceptance email.
